Aims of the Day

• Strengthen personal resilience in council environments
• Improve confidence managing difficult interactions
• Understand conflict dynamics rather than react to them
• Apply emotional intelligence practically in meetings, email and social media
• Reduce emotional exhaustion while maintaining professionalism

• Recognise emotional triggers and threat responses
• Understand common council conflict patterns (triangulation, email escalation, passive resistance)
• Develop language tools for assertive but calm communication
